Engineer loses job, opens own mill in village of Bohot
The owner of the mill in the village of Bohot, Zlatko Anchev, is a gain processing and storage engineer, who has been engaged in bread production all his life. "It turned out that the mill in Pleven, where I was working, closed down and instead of going to the employment office, I decided to start my own business," says Anchev.
In order for the mill to start working successfully, he had to buy new machines and make repairs. Therefore, he applied with a project under Measure 123 of the Rural Development Program. "I had to act quickly. It was with the National Guarantee Fund that I came to terms most easily. They gave me a guarantee. The bank approved my loan and now I am servicing it without any worries," Zlatko Anchev said.
According to Anchev, access to a good loan is of key importance for any business, and obtaining a working capital loan, in particular, is most difficult. He plans to research the conditions for obtaining such а loan soon, as his business is growing and he has to buy larger quantities of grain.
Zlatko Anchev promises that his bread will not become more expensive. His dream is the following: "I want the enterprises in Bulgaria, which are Bulgarian-owned, to develop and operate. When we started the repairs here, we had to remove the old machines. Do you know where they were made? In Pleven, Bulgaria. "Now we buy the mill equipment from Turkey, it is not produced in our country," he said.
